Working with AIM for online Virtual Office Hours
If you are teaching a hybrid or totally online class, you are required to post virtual office hours via AIM and you AIM screen name. Communicate this information to your students via your syllabus, Course Announcements and the Course Information areas in your Blackboard course site. Following are some tutorials to help you get started with using AIM.
Creating a group and adding your classmates
AIM Express
AIM is not installed on campus computers in the labs or LSC. Full-time instructors can install AIM on office computers. Alternatively, you can use AIM Express from the www.aim.com site. See below for the instructions:
AIM Express runs in theweb browser and does NOT have to be installed. If you ever need to access AIM from a computer that does not have it installed, you may wish to use AIM Express. Here is the direct link:
