Pert Chart Practice
A PERT chart is a project management tool used to schedule, organize, and coordinate tasks
within a project. PERT stands for Program Evaluation Review Technique, a methodology
developed by the U.S. Navy in the 1950s to manage a nuclear submarine missile program.
Task List
We are going to work on an Activity on Arrow (AOA) pert chart. First, we need a list of tasks, durations and an indication of task predecessors (dependencies)

PERT Diagram Using AOA
Next, let's create a PERT diagram using Activity On Arrow (AOA) convention.
Use the information in the above table to place the activities (tasks) in the proper position on the chart. Pay attention to dependency! When one activity has to be completed before another can begin, you have to place both in the proper order.
The circles are called nodes. Nodes represent starting and finishing points in time. the arrows represent the activities thus the name activity on arrow. You will be placing one activity and its duration (in weeks) on top of each arrow.
When you finish th PERT diagram, move on down to the next activity.
Drag to place the activities on th proper arrows.
Quiz
Hopefully you were successful with the AOA activity. Now, it is time to answer some questions. The answers are in the AOA pert chart.
