How to record your voice message using Sound Recorder

Before you begin, obtain a pair of computers headphones with a microphone, suitable for voice recognition.  Position the headphones on your head and the microphone slightly about the tip of your nose.

When you are sure you have your headset correctly connected to your computer and properly positioned, you may begin by following these steps.

1. Click on Start

2. Click on Programs

3. Click on Accessories

4. Click on Entertainment

5. Click on Sound Recorder to open the application (free with Windows)

6. Click the Record button

7. Begin speaking.  When you are finished with your message:

8. Click the Stop button

9. Select the File menu

10. Select the Save menu item

11. The Save As dialog opens

12. Type a name for your file

13. Click the Save button

14. Your audio file will be saved in .wav format
